Calkins, M.Div., LCSW, BCC, DAPA Glenn

Glenn C. Calkins, M.Div., LCSW, BCC, DAPA is a Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education at Adventist Healthcare in Rockville, Maryland. He is a United Methodist Minister. He was a Firefighter for 26 years and an Emergency Medical Technician for 15 years. He has served as a Fire Chaplain for 22 years. Glenn was selected to receive an Award for Distinguished Achievement from the International Association of Fire Fighters in 1989. He continues to be a member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains and instructor in that organization’s Fire Chaplaincy Institute. Other credentials or certifications include Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Certified Supervisor of Clinical Pastoral Education, Board Certified Chaplain, and a Diplomate of the American Psychotherapy Association. Glenn was the founding Executive Director of CISM Indiana Network, Inc. that grew to 28 statewide teams. In 1995, the Indiana Psychological Association chose Glenn the Allied Professional of the Year. He has been an Approved Instructor for the ICISF since 1994 and has helped author the “Pastoral Crisis Intervention” courses. Currently, he is active as a member of the American Red Cross Critical Response Team. With ARC he has been activated for two air incident responses and the World Trade Center in New York City.
