Early Intervention and Crisis Response in EAP and Behavioral Healthcare Settings

In the aftermath of domestic terrorism, Employee Assistance Programs and Behavioral Health Programs are incorporating comprehensive early intervention and prevention services into traditional workplace service models. Building and creating a resilient workforce has become a priority for many business and government agencies and best practices for doing so have become a matter of considerable debate. This course will explore the concepts of early intervention, prevention and crisis response with an emphasis on the most recent recommendations and guidelines in an EAP or Behavioral Health Services setting.

This course is designed for anyone currently working on potentially working in Employee Assistance Programs and Behavioral Health Programs and having the desire to learn how to implement and expand existing programming to accomplish outreach, normalize stress and trauma reactions, provide psycho-education, mitigate PTSD symptoms, promote resilience and facilitate access to treatment.

    Two-Day Course: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 14 Contact Hours; 14 CE Credits for Psychologists; 14 PDHs for EAPs; 14 CE Hours for Calif. MFTs & LCSWs; 14 Contact Hours for National Certified Addiction Counselors; OR 1.4 general CEUs from UMBC
